Our practice is undergoing a server migration on 21st - 23rd January; this means that we will have NO access to computers for this period. We will be holding emergency clinics only and will not be processing any prescriptions on these days.

When you attend for a test of any kind you will be told how long you should expect to wait for the results. Please bear this in mind and only call the surgery after sufficient time has elapsed.

Our reception staff are not qualified to comment on results therefore it is your responsibility to check them and make any necessary follow-up appointment with the doctor.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

Specimens requiring analysis are sent to the hospital laboratories by regular van runs which leave the medical centre at approximately 10:00 and 14:00. Please ensure that samples are handed in well in advance of these times in order for our staff to prepare them for transit. Please try to avoid sending samples on a Friday afternoon. If you are asked to come for a blood test it is always best to attend in the morning.
